Event Description:
In response to the excited reactions we received about the food we prepared (fresh picked beets and organic summer salad with fresh picked strawberries and blueberries) for the OCAW-MD Happy & Healthy Eating lunch in June, Pam & I are inviting you to join us on our next outing to the farm where we like to fresh pick vegetables and fruit. We are going there this coming Saturday (August 7) morning (the farm opens at 9 a.m. on the weekend) & we welcome you to go. They use an integrated pest management system minimizing the use of the pesticides. We plan to pick beets, peaches, tomatoes and perhaps dig for red potatoes again...there are also raspberries, leeks and fresh flowers to cut. The prices vary according to produce as well as by weight in some cases. If carpools are needed, please arrange/coordinate among yourselves.
